Northeastern University Admission Requirements

SAT Scores Requirements

Northeastern University typically prefers applicants to be top 10 percent of SAT takers. The school consistently places SAT composite scores between 1390 and 1550 out of 1600. It is estimated that some students could be accepted with SATs as low as 1300 in some cases, where the school considers other academic or extracurricular aspects. Twenty-five percent of applicants submit SAT scores to the school.

Northeastern University Location

Northeastern University’s main campus is located on a 73 acres piece of land along Huntington Avenue and Columbus Avenue in a popular area known as the Fenway Cultural District, which is part of Boston’s Fenway and Roxbury neighborhood not far from the Museum of Fine Arts, New England Conservatory, Christian Science Center and Symphony Hall.

Northeastern University is also home to many green open spaces and quads. Since the late 1990s, NEU has been considered a model of design for new urban universities and has twice won the award by the American Institute of Architects’s “Most Beautiful New or Renovated Exterior Space” in 2001 and 2004. Northeastern University Scholarships 

Northeastern University offers various scholarships for undergraduates, graduates, and international students. Scholarships are a form of gift aid that does not need to be repaid or collected back.

You can be awarded scholarships for up to eight academic semesters during your undergraduate program, provided that you maintain the established eligibility criteria, including Satisfactory Academic Progress, full-time enrollment, and maintaining a minimum GPA standard.
